Introduction
Today we are looking at healing prayers for cancer. Prayer is a sure requirement in the kingdom, if we want to get anything from above, the believer must know how, where and when to approach the throne room of God for answers to pertinent issues and questions in our lives. That is why we are looking at the right kind of healing prayer to embark on when challenged with cancer.
The word of God makes us understand that behind every sickness, disease and terminal disease is the spirit of infirmity, and the spirit of infirmity is a demon of the devil, whom he uses to afflict the children of God with various kinds of infirmity. Cancer is one of such infirmities and it’s a terminal disease, even the medical world is yet to get a defined healing therapy for it, as the majority of those with cancer in the world today do eventually die. There are various kinds of cancer, ranging from blood cancer, skin cancer etc. and all this is the handiwork of the devil. Cancer is an ugly infirmity as it is with all other infirmities, it can lead to anger, fear and frustration and eventual death. But in the word of God is hope, love, care, medicine and eventual healing for those who will abide and trust in it. God’s word is medicinal and powerful as it goes through the bones and marrow to clear whatever God did not plant in you and root it out. In proverbs 4:20-22, “My son attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings, let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them and health to all their flesh.” We see that God’s prescription for our healing is in His word, which we must take to heart and incline to, not minding the prevailing circumstances.
Cancer is not beyond what God can heal and it’s not a threat to God, That is the first thing to believe God for. Though the outward flesh may look wrinkled, tear off or begin to perish, a cancer patient should be more concerned with the inner man, letting your spirit man take hold of your flesh is the path to healing and victory. So you renew the spirit man with the word of God day by day by reminding him of the healing promises of God, and then the surgical word of God goes into action and begins your healing process. When you focus on the word and prayer, you take your eyes off that shrinking and decaying body and focus on the word of God for your healing which God will release to you as he has promised in his word. When that word comes, every trace of cancer, no matter where it came from will be rooted out of your life and you will be made whole and fresher than you were before.
When you begin to engage the word and prayer for your healing, your strength will be renewed and you will begin to see a new vista of hope that you will surely be healed. In Isaiah 40:31, the word says, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not be tired.” You experience renewed strength and vigour when you wait on the Lord in his word. God is too faithful to fail you for He has exalted his word more than all His name. Therefore believe God for your healing. In Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them; for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” So when in this situation, rather than being scared and losing hope, be strong and courageous for God is with you in that situation and he knoweth how to bring you out of it. Therefore, your faith in God at this time and at other times must be sacrosanct and not wavering ,for wavering means you won’t get anything from him. God has never forsaken any of His children, so be rest assured that, even though you are passing through this cancer, He has not forgotten, forsaken you but He is with you in it and he will surely bring you out of it stronger and better.
