1 John 5:14: Now this is the confidence we have in approaching God, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
Prayers are very important in the life of any human, a believer or a non–believer. It is God’s will that we pray for ourselves and intercede for the people around us. We do not have to wait until our friends show up with burdens before we decide to pray for them. Putting them in prayers everyday will not only go a long way but make them feel important in our heart.
What we need to understand is that, we do not have a particular prayer point for our friends before we pray for them. The fact that we pray alone will make things easier for them. Moreover, the Holy Spirit is there to guide us on what to pray for.
 Romans 8:26(NIV) says, “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. Therefore, we do not have to think about what to pray, the moment we stand to pray for our friends, the Holy Spirit will guide us on what to pray about. 
We can also decide to pray for all aspects of their lives. The more of their lives we pray for, the more coverage we have given over their lives. 1. Father Lord, I thank You over the life of my friend. Thank You because you have kept him/her alive till this moment, thank You because I know that You love him/her so and You have great plans for him/her. Therefore Lord Jesus, I pray that You grant him/her healing in his/her sick body right now. I pray that every sickness should give way to strength in Jesus name. Amen.
